OPINION

YOUNG, Justice:

Appellant was convicted of first degree murder with use of a deadly weapon for the death of his girlfriend, Sandee Cusson, in 1986. His direct appeal to this court was dismissed in July, 1988. Appellant now appeals from the district court's denial of his petition for post-conviction relief. The majority of the contentions raised by appellant's post-conviction petition were raised in his direct appeal. Many were dismissed by this court...
