Defendant, Charles Pennese, appeals the judgments of conviction entered upon jury verdicts finding him guilty of assault in the first degree and crime of violence. We affirm.

The defendant was charged with first degree assault under § 18-3-202, C.R.S. (1986 Repl.Vol. 8B) together with a crime of violence under § 16-11-309, C.R.S. (1986 Repl.Vol. 8A). The charges arose from an assault by the defendant on his wife. The evidence...
