Justice McCULLOUGH delivered the opinion of the court:

On revocation of probation, defendant was sentenced to three years' imprisonment for burglary (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 19-1(a)), with credit for 149 days served. On appeal, defendant argues he is entitled to additional sentence credit (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 1005-8-7(b)), and requests remand to the trial court for recalculation of the credit he is due. He maintains he served at least 263 days...
