In a four-count indictment Robert S. Treff was charged as follows: In Count I he was charged with an attempt to kill Carol M. Fay, an employee of the Internal Revenue Service, on account of her performance of her official duties, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1114; in Count II Treff was charged with assault and intimidation of Carol M. Fay, a District Director of the Internal Revenue Service, a person designated in 18 U.S.C. § 1114...
