This matter is before the court on a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner was sentenced to twenty (20) years for an attempted rape, a class B felony, which he was convicted on October 27, 1987. The conviction was affirmed by the Indiana Supreme Court.
