In our original memorandum decision, filed May 23, 1991, we affirmed the trial court's summary denial of defendant-appellant Kim Browning's (Browning) petition to file a belated praecipe. 571 N.E.2d 1346.1 We concluded that the trial court's denial was proper because Browning was not entitled to a direct appeal from his guilty plea.
