William A. Gorut was charged by bill of information with possession in excess of 400 grams of cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967 F. He initially pled not guilty and filed pre-trial motions, including motions to suppress physical evidence and a confession. Following a hearing, the trial court denied the motions. Subsequently, defendant withdrew his not guilty plea and entered a guilty plea, reserving his right to appeal the denial of the motions...
