Richard D. Davis (defendant) was charged by bill of information with driving while intoxicated, fourth offense. LSA-R.S. 14:98. He pled guilty. The trial court imposed a sentence of imprisonment at hard labor for thirty years to run concurrently with any sentence defendant was then serving and with credit for time served. On appeal, defendant urged in a single assignment of error that the sentence imposed was excessive and that the trial court failed...
