After a bench trial, defendant, Aaron Trimble was found guilty of two counts of murder (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, pars. 9-1(a)(1), 9-1(a)(3)), home invasion (Ill.Rev. Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 12-11(a)(1)), attempted armed robbery (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 8-4), and armed violence (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 33A-2). He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 40 years for murder, 30 years for home invasion...
