Defendant Tony Lynn Royark pleaded guilty to murder, armed robbery and conspiracy (to commit murder). The prosecution sought the death penalty and the court found the defendant eligible for the death penalty, but declined to impose it. The defendant was sentenced to natural life for murder and an extended term of 60 years for armed robbery. Defendant moved to withdraw his guilty plea, vacate the judgment and reconsider...
