OPINION

COMPTON, Justice.

The State of Alaska (state) appeals an order which denied Hanson's motion for a new trial as to the Municipality of Anchorage (municipality), the state's codefendant in the action, but granted it as to the state. The court then certified the judgment as to the municipality in accordance with Alaska Civil Rule 54(b). Only that judgment is before us. We affirm the judgment.
