After a jury trial in the District Court for the District of Rhode Island, defendant Kenneth Patrone was found guilty of possessing firearms after having been convicted of a felony and of possessing an unregistered firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) and 26 U.S.C. §§ 5841, 5861(d), and 5871. Patrone was sentenced to fifteen years in prison without parole because the court, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 924(e), found that...
