Edmond Vernon Jones appeals his convictions under a two-count indictment. In Count I, Jones was convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 1001 for making false statements to the FBI regarding his ownership of a gun. In Count II, he was convicted under 18 U.S.C. § 1623(a) for making false statements of the same nature to a grand jury.
