This case commenced after a truck and an automobile collided on February 15, 1978, on Route Y in Lincoln County, Missouri. Plaintiff, Violet Myers, was a passenger in the back seat of a Chevrolet Monza operated by her son-in-law, Jay Currie. Plaintiff sued defendant, Sharon Morrison, for personal injuries she sustained when the Monza collided with defendant's half-ton Chevrolet pickup truck.
