After entering a plea of guilty but mentally ill to a charge of home invasion (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-11(a)(2)), defendant Ronald J. McGlasson was sentenced by the circuit court of Morgan County to serve a term of imprisonment of 12 years. In exchange for his guilty plea, a charge of aggravated kidnapping and a second count of home invasion were dismissed...
