This appeal raises an issue of tort law involving the foreseeability of negligent conduct leading to injury, the cause of which is an intervening criminal act of a third party. Plaintiff Angelia Sirmans, injured without fault when struck by a stolen motor vehicle, sued Denzil Penn, Jr., the owner of the vehicle, for negligence proximately causing her injuries.
