OPINION

BENAVIDES, Justice.

On January 31, 1988, appellant, Sylvester Theodore Burns, Jr., and three other individuals, Chad Holland, Catarino Galvan, and Mark Perez, were involved in a one-car accident in which the car driven by appellant went into a spin on a freeway straightaway and rolled over three times. Perez was killed in the accident. Appellant was charged and a jury found him guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assessed punishment at seven years...
