The appellant, Joe David Williams, and others represented by him (Williams group) own working interest mineral leases in two 20-acre tracts in Miller County. These tracts are part of the Rodessa Field which encompasses the oil producing Gloyd Formation. The Williams group established two wells on these tracts, Freedom A-l and Freedom Prospect.
