Jesse Soto, Jr. appeals his conviction by a jury of the offense of possession of a controlled substance, amphetamine of less than twenty-eight grams. The jury, finding enhancement allegations to be true, assessed his punishment at life imprisonment in the Texas Department of Corrections, now the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
