Johnny Larry was convicted of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 24-1.1(a)), and following a jury trial, judgment was entered on the guilty verdict. Larry was sentenced to serve five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Larry appeals his conviction, alleging that: (1) he was deprived of his Sixth Amendment confrontation rights by the State's references to hearsay statements...
