The appellant, Heikki Tapani Rika, was charged in a four-count indictment with two counts of second degree rape and two counts of incest. All of these charges involved the same victim, the appellant's stepdaughter. At the close of all the evidence, the State nol-prossed the two incest charges. The jury convicted the appellant on the two counts of second degree rape. He was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment on each conviction, to run consecutively...
