Petitioner-appellant Larry Dickerson brought an occupational disease claim on May 18, 1983, alleging that he had contracted the disease of silicosis arising out of and in the course of his employment with respondent-appellee Illinois Minerals Company (Illinois Minerals) between 1959 and 1971.
