The defendant James Yashar, M.D. (defendant), is appealing a medical malpractice judgment for Norma Medeiros and James Medeiros (collectively, plaintiff). A lengthy jury trial found the defendant not negligent in the actual performance of a medical procedure on Norma Medeiros, but did find for the plaintiff on an "informed consent" theory.
