On October 16, 1984, petitioner, Jean E. Madoch, filed a petition for dissolution of her marriage to respondent, Kenneth Madoch. The trial court's judgment on July 10, 1989, dissolved the marriage and awarded petitioner a 55% interest and respondent a 45% interest in the marital condominium and in a Merrill Lynch account. The condominium was valued at $114,000, and the Merrill Lynch account at approximately
