The petitioner, John Hebeler, filed a petition for emergency hearing under section 19(b-1) of the Workers' Compensation Act (Ill.Rev.Stat. 1987, ch. 48, par. 138.19(b-1)). He claimed that his back condition of herniated nucleus pulposus with sciatica had resulted from an injury he suffered on August 7, 1987, while working for the respondent, Holland Company.
