The State seeks review of the Court of Appeals determination that the respondent's guilty plea lacked a factual basis. Dolores Saas faced nine potential counts of securities fraud when, as part of a plea agreement, she pleaded guilty to one count of securities fraud. Prior to sentencing, she moved to withdraw her guilty plea. The trial court denied this motion. The Court of Appeals reversed. Without the benefit of briefing or argument by any of the parties...
