Plaintiff, Robert Bishop, brought this medical malpractice suit against Dr. Samuel T. Baz, Bishop's family doctor, in August, 1984, after his left foot was partially amputated. Subsequently, both of plaintiff's legs were amputated below the knee. The matter proceeded to a jury trial in June, 1989, which resulted in a verdict for the defendant doctor.
