The petitioner, Thomas Paul West, appeals the dismissal of his post-conviction petition. We affirm.

The record shows that on August 20, 1981, the petitioner was convicted of voluntary manslaughter (Ill.Rev.Stat.1979, ch. 38, par. 9-2). The trial court subsequently sentenced him to a six-year term of imprisonment. On appeal, this court vacated the sentence and remanded...
