This is an appeal by the plaintiff from a judgment dismissing his La.R.S. 30:2027 retaliatory discharge suit against his former employer. The plaintiff, Eldon Cheramie, alleged that he was fired by his employer, J. Wayne Plaisance, Inc., for reporting possible environmental law violations. After a trial on the merits, the trial court dismissed the plaintiff's suit, finding that the plaintiff had failed to prove that he was fired for reporting possible...
