Justice HAASE delivered the opinion of the Court.

A jury convicted the defendant, James E. Bohm, of aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-16(c)(1)(i)). The trial court sentenced him to a 25-year term of imprisonment. The defendant appeals his conviction and sentence.
