Justice WOODWARD delivered the opinion of the court:

Following a bench trial, the defendant, Thomas Schwartz, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated home repair fraud (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 121½, pars. 1603, 1605). Defendant was sentenced to serve 30 days in the county jail and 11 months' work release. He was fined $1,500 in each case and ordered to make restitution to the victims. Finally, defendant was prohibited from working in the home repair business...
