In these consolidated cases the owner of a double house, Dr. Bobby Wade Saucier, his subrogated fire insurer, Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, and the resident tenant, Bertha Edwards, filed suits against the gas company, New Orleans Public Service, Inc.
