Appellant, James Wesley Barnes, was convicted following a jury trial of one count of indecent acts with a child under the age of sixteen years in violation of D.C.Code § 22-3501(a) (1989). Appellant's primary contention on appeal is that the trial court abused its discretion in finding the minor complainant competent to testify at trial.
