Frederick W. Turner appeals from the district court's denial of his pro se petition for writ of habeas corpus. See 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (1988). On appeal, Turner argues only that the state trial court erred in failing to properly instruct the jury on voluntary manslaughter, a lesser included offense of second-degree murder, of which Turner was convicted.
