Respondent Dennis Casper brought a dram shop action against appellant City of Stacy (City) claiming the City illegally sold liquor to Karen Nerdahl, thereby causing an accident in which Nerdahl's car struck and injured Casper. The jury found that Casper, the City and Nerdahl acted negligently and caused Casper damages of $410,000.
