Defendant, Albert Voorhies, Jr., was charged by bill of information with the attempted forcible rape of Ms. Sylvia Davis, a violation of La.R.S 14:42.1 and La.R.S. 14:27. Defendant was convicted of the charged offense by a jury following a two day trial.
