Before me are two motions: (1) defendant Douglas County School District RE-1's (Douglas County) motion to dismiss; and (2) Douglas County's motion for a protective order and plaintiff's motion to compel. Because plaintiff's amended complaint states a federal claim under 42 U.S.C. section 1983, I deny the motion to dismiss that claim.
