Respondent, Cung La, was shot while driving his father's car which was covered by an automobile insurance policy issued by plaintiff, State Farm Automobile Insurance Company. The no-fault provision of the insurance policy restricted coverage to damages "resulting from the use or operation of a motor vehicle as a motor vehicle" and, similarly, the uninsured motorist provision restricted coverage to damages "arising out of the operation, maintenance...
