Daniel Taglia and Robert McDonnell were convicted by a jury of labor racketeering and sentenced to four and six years in prison, respectively.

Taglia was an acquaintance both of McDonnell, a lawyer, and of Robert Blessing, the nephew of an official of a local union. Taglia and McDonnell conspired — so the jury could, and did, find — to bribe officials of the union to award a contract...
