Deborah Holley Rose was indicted along with co-defendant Hobie McCullar in May of 1987, for the arson of Rose's home which was located in rural Panola County in the vicinity of the Sardis community. A separate trial was ordered for each defendant, and the State's case against Ms. Rose went to trial in April of 1988. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, and the judge sentenced Ms. Rose to eight years in the Department...
