WILLIAMS, Judge.

Defendant was indicted for the second degree murder (LSA-R.S. 14:30.1) of Roosevelt Percy on January 17, 1983. He pleaded not guilty, and was tried by a twelve-person jury on August 30-31, 1983. The jury found defendant guilty of manslaughter. The State filed a multiple bill, and defendant was adjudicated a third offender. He was sentenced on July 11, 1985, to life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence...
