Today we decide whether the district court erred in granting a defendant's motion to suppress evidence gathered following a warrantless investigatory stop — a stop made partly in good faith reliance on information that was inaccurate through police error. A panel of our Court affirmed the district court, concluding that the vehicle stop violated the defendant's Fourth Amendment rights and further holding that "negligent" police conduct truncated...
