The City of Shreveport appeals a judgment which held the city strictly liable for a defect on its premises and awarded damages of $269,068.68 to the plaintiff, Carolyn Durkee. We conclude the trial court did not err in finding that the city's premises were defective, that the defect caused the plaintiff's injuries or that the plaintiff was not comparatively negligent; however, the court abused its discretion...
