Plaintiff, James Neil Lowrance, brought an action in the circuit court of Williamson County to recover damages from defendant, Marion Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company (the Company). Plaintiff's complaint was in two counts. Count I alleged that the Company had discharged plaintiff in retaliation for filing a workers' compensation claim.
