This appeal arises from a series of contempt judgments and corresponding fines exceeding twenty million dollars entered by the Circuit Court of Russell County against the International Union and the Local District 28 Union of the United Mine Workers of America (Unions), appellants, at the request of Clinchfield Coal Company and Sea "B" Mining Company (Companies), appellees.
