BACKGROUND

Defendant initially filed a motion requesting that I reconsider the sentence I imposed on him because of new information from the Sentencing Commission that "the term `crime of violence' does not include the offense of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon." This clarification is contained in an amendment to Note 2 of the Commentary to U.S.S.G. § 4B1.2 that was approved by the Sentencing Commission...
