Following a jury trial, defendant, Manning Jackson, was found guilty of residential burglary and of robbery. The court sentenced him to an extended term of 30 years for residential burglary, and a seven year concurrent term for robbery. Defendant contends on appeal that the trial court erred in refusing to grant his trial day request for a continuance; that the trial court's failure to conduct a Batson hearing...
