This is an appeal by Hendrick, an injured brakeman, from the trial court's dismissal of his causes of action under the Federal Safety Appliance Act (SAA), 45 U.S.C.A. §§ 2 and 9, and the Boiler Inspection Act (BIA), 45 U.S.C.A. § 23, and from the entry of a directed verdict for the railroad in his negligence action under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA), 45 U.S.C.A. § 51 et seq.
