This is an appeal from an order denying a motion to confirm an arbitration award. The appellee below raised two contentions. First, that there was no agreement to arbitrate, and that consequently the arbitrator had no jurisdiction to make the award. Second, appellee contended that the court below did not have personal jurisdiction over it because of a lack of sufficient nexus between its activities and the State of Hawaii.
