We determine, in this criminal case, whether the trial court erred in refusing to allow the defendant to impeach the credibility of the nine-year-old victim: (1) by showing her bad reputation for truth and veracity; and, (2) by proving her prior inconsistent statements. We believe the trial court erred in excluding the impeachment evidence. Under the circumstances, we do not find the errors harmless beyond a reasonable doubt, and we conclude they deprived...
